Port ElKantaoui

Tunisia is known from many places to visit but the most famous is the marina of Port El Kantaoui.

Port el-Kantaoui was established in 1977 as Tunisia's first purpose-built tourist resort, and is now a fully-fledged town and one of the country's most popular destinations. Modeled on the French Rivera’s Port-Grimaud, the resort is built in Andalucian-Moorish style around a huge marina. An international class harbor, Port El Kantaoui can accommodate 340 boats of all categories in a 4 ha marina.

An international class harbor, Port El Kantaoui can accommodate 340 boats of all categories in a 4 ha marina. This port boasts a full service marina: a harbor master’s office, telephone, television, water, electricity, various weather forecasts, nautical activities and especially the magic of the Tunisian hospitality.

Port el-Kantaoui lies on Tunisia's central coast, in the region known as the Sahel. The resort is about 10km (6 miles) north of Sousse and 130km (80 miles) south of Tunis. The nearest airport is Skanes-Monastir Habib Bourguiba, 25km (15 miles) to the south.

Golf El Kantaoui is set in an exceptional site offering visitors a variety in its flora and fauna, olive trees of the Roman era, eucalyptus, cactus, prestigious palm trees and a pleasant and sane environment devoid of any form of pollution.

Golf El Kantaoui presents an incredible panoramic landscape spreading from the sea up to the mountain, embellished by clustered lakes within the golf course, decorated with illuminated fountains and surrounded by a chain of hotels of all categories.

Port el-Kantaoui is also particularly family friendly and the Aqua Palace (rue des Palmiers) delights children with slides and wave pools.

Smaller children will also appreciate the small zoo and the shady aromatic garden in the marina.

Hannibal Park (route des Touristes) is an amusement park with a good rollercoaster, fairy-tale rides and a playground for children.
