Port ElKantaoui

Tunisia is known from many places to visit but the most famous is the marina of Port El Kantaoui.


Port el-Kantaoui was established in 1977 as Tunisia's first purpose-built tourist resort, and is now a fully-fledged town and one of the country's most popular destinations. Modeled on the French Rivera’s Port-Grimaud, the resort is built in Andalucian-Moorish style around a huge marina. An international class harbor, Port El Kantaoui can accommodate 340 boats of all categories in a 4 ha marina.

Port el-Kantaoui lies on Tunisia's central coast, in the region known as the Sahel. The resort is about 10km (6 miles) north of Sousse and 130km (80 miles) south of Tunis. The nearest airport is Skanes-Monastir Habib Bourguiba, 25km (15 miles) to the south.




Golf El Kantaoui is set in an exceptional site offering visitors a variety in its flora and fauna, olive trees of the Roman era, eucalyptus, cactus, prestigious palm trees and a pleasant and sane environment devoid of any form of pollution.

Golf El Kantaoui presents an incredible panoramic landscape spreading from the sea up to the mountain, embellished by clustered lakes within the golf course, decorated with illuminated fountains and surrounded by a chain of hotels of all categories.

Port el-Kantaoui is also particularly family friendly and the Aqua Palace (rue des Palmiers) delights children with slides and wave pools.

Smaller children will also appreciate the small zoo and the shady aromatic garden in the marina.








Hannibal Park (route des Touristes) is an amusement park with a good rollercoaster, fairy-tale rides and a playground for children.

Tunisia Climate



Tunisia enjoys a Mediterranean climate in the North and along its coast. The weather is brightened up and the temperatures are very pleasant all year round. The climate in Tunisia varies with the region. Experience the combination of African and Mediterranean climate. No doubt, Tunisia is famous for hot and dry summers also had mild winters in some region.


The landscape of Tunisia varies and so does the climate. Spring which visits Tunisia from March through May covers the countryside with wild flowers. From June to September, the whole country is seasoned by warm weather and the month of August is the hottest month in the year. This is the time to refresh and relax in the cool waters of Mediterranean Sea. In autumn season which remains from October to December, the country experiences golden sun which warms up the sea.




The Northern region of Tunisia enjoys typically Mediterranean climate with hot and dry summers and mild winters whereas, the Southern territory of Tunisia has summers hotter when compared to the Northern parts of the country.


Due to the proximity to the Sahara Desert, the Southern region experiences unpleasant summer with high humidity which makes the region arid and dry. The desert region of Tunisia is always few degrees higher than the rest of the parts of Tunisia. The hot Sirocco winds alleviate the temperature in this region to mid-40° C.


The best time to visit Tunisia to enjoy sailing, surfing, diving, golfing, exploring the ancient relics and remains or spending time in desert and oasis is in between October and May when the temperature varies from 12-28° C.
